Or it would be if he had enough innings to qualify, but despite having now 6 games started, Slatton has only thrown 18 innings this year. Four walks led to an elevated pitch count and an early dismissal for Slatton, who now posts an ERA of 11.57 which, you or may not be surprised to learn, is the next to worst in the California League (behind rotation mate Matt Krook).

Fresh off his career outing (10 Ks!) Heath Slatton took the mound and went back to the lackluster starts that have defined his life in the SJ rotation this year, once again putting the team in an early hole (down 4-1 after the top of the 2nd). Well the strong starting pitching section of SJ’s week didn’t last long.

Mac loves those low pitches that he can get out and extend on: Still nice to see the power stroke going. At 26% his K rate is currently the highest of his minor league career (and his walk rate is one of the lowest), but he’s not going full-on Jarrett Parker level just yet. On the bright side, Mac Williamson, who did little to contribute to yesterday’s score-athon, doubled twice in this one (baseball Gods are little minxes!). Kyle has a solid 16 K/ 6 BB ratio going this year from the pen. Crick has been in 11 games (14.1 IP) this year and has allowed runs in only 2 of them, most notably a 4 run blow up in the game immediately following his DL stint for concussion. Such is the pain of the pitcher’s life in the western divisions of the PCL.įollowing Beede, the bullpen provided 3.1 scoreless innings, included another perfect inning from Kyle Crick. Of course, Colorado Springs is something akin to Coors Stadium south where breaking balls don’t have quite the same bite and hits can be plentiful. The result was an ugly 10 hit night and a pitch count that nearly hit 100 before getting through 5 innings. And as we can see here, he was often ahead of batters, but he struggled to put them away: Tyler Beede continued to have a PCL campaign that is, as the good folks in HR would say, a growth opportunity! Beede didn’t have any problem with his control last night as he threw 67 of 96 pitches for strikes. The baseball Gods must be appeased for their gifts. Prison rape does happen, but there are enough people that are willing participants that in most prisons it's a non-issue.Well that really was remarkably easy to predict, wasn’t it? Have a 13-run inning one day, starve for runs the next. There's a 99.99% chance you will not be raped nor will have to beat/shank someone to prove you're not a punk or whatever. Sure, shit goes down here and there, but unless you're in one of the small amount of truly terrible prisons in the country, day-to-day life is just boring. I ask my cellmate what joke I just told and he responded, "I don't know, I haven't heard that one before." u/mmtintstitute I shouted "37!" The prison erupted into the loudest laughter I have ever heard. To save time, they just decided to number them. He told me that they had all been in there so long that they had the same jokes. Well, on my first night in prison, after lights out, one of the prisoners yelled "63!" The entire prison started laughing. No, no one is trying to sleep, keep slamming those dominoes, no one cares. For some reason, if you play dominoes, you can't just put the domino on the table, you have to f*cking slam it on the God damn metal table at three in the morning. The people who play dominoes all night long are the worst. Lots of gay stuff goes on but is usually consensual.

Unlike TV and Movies, rapes don't happen as much as the jokes have you believe. A lot of racial tension and I'm not really that kind of person but in prison you have to stick with your color u/Txdirtymax91

But when shit pops off you better stand with your people or you will get dealt with. During peaceful times everyone can be cool with each other. One of the things I really learned in there is like it or not you are expected to stick with your race. our incarceration system desperately needs changing.

I went in for having a large amount of herb, but while in there I learned the best methods to cook crack, how to counterfeit money, how to B and E without getting caught. They say it's a "rehabilitation" center, that's complete bullsh*t.
