I personally can't think of a single thing that a mod would add to the game in any way shape or form that could "improve"

More and overpowered tools? Mods that allow you to teleport anywhere? Why? Usually I wouldn't mention this sort of thing because, usually I have no issues downloading mods that give me an unfair advantage I don't believe in the "Hardcore" gaming BS, nor am I just another blind fanboy that defends devs blindly. Seriously, what sorts of things are necessary for the game that requires mods that can't be achieved in other ways? I can't think of anything other than possibly user created levels. I can understand multiple reasons why creating/releasing a modding API for the game, let alone integrating Workshop is something that isn't viable now or then not to mention it was a task and a half for them to launch alternate modes like creative mode etc, and, I can't speak for them, but if I was pouring my heart and soul into telling a very personal story to a greater audience about something I'm going through that may very well kill me, I would definitely have other reservations in launching an official modding toolset to change that story. Also Crashlands was a special project of passion whipped up when they were going through a very difficult time IRL, everything was built around the game being a coping mechanism/survival tool of one of the OG team's very dire and very life-threatening illness. The dev team for BShennanigans is very small, are indie devs and have a ton of games they already maintain. Who really cares that there's no official mod support? Antifun hasn't made much cheats for this, it might never happen cuz it may be too difficult.

P.S I completely agree to the devs not adding mods, yall gonna just have to wait for some genius to come along and code an injection that allows for mods to be easily created and stacked. I want to play as the floating purple head. ♥♥♥♥♥ BORING! lol.Ĭrashlands has a fun long story in a large funny world (unlike skyrim that just has A BUNCH OF STORIES) which can open so many new things for mods. No way in hell would i ever play that game without mods. Look at skyrim, mods kept that game alive so long it is astonishing. yes yes, i know two completely different games but even if I cut subnautica all time peak down to 1000, they'd still average at about 100 more players. Happened to Subnautica, and they have 4k players on a daily average while crashlands is stuck at less then 100. Lol, eventually or not someone who REALLY likes this game AND REALLY dedicated, would make an injection to allow mods. Don't know do they gonna change for the better or not, for now nothing good had happen. They don't seem to do any amazing jobs at all, at least by the time I write this comment.

After 2 years! They still didn't fix this, it's a small issue but big enough to see that they had abandoning the games and making a new one like they said. With all those word being said, now in my eyes, they are just being lazy and don't care about quality, they only care about making as much games as possible without maintain it, they only care about quanlity and that's the only thing matter.Įxample is "feedback" button, it just lead the player to the fault website with a notification said "This website cannot be accessed". But the thing that really pissed me off is that lame reason for not allow mods and rather "spend time making games". Like you said, lot of games don't have mods and that okay. Amazing jobs? Wait, isn't that is what they should do in the first place? Isn't Rumpus and BScotchID account should be one at the beginning? Why do they split up that in the first place anyway?Īlso the reason I'm mad is not because they don't allow mods, that's normal to me.
